Assisted Access Scheme

We operate a scheme for those who require somebody to be present in order to assist them to readily access theatre shows. Our Assisted Access Scheme allows members to buy a seat for themselves and an essential companion at half price. Joining is free and a short application form is available from the box office or to download here, providing us with contact details and any information the patron would like recorded.

All tickets are subject to availability at the time of booking. The theatre reserves the right to review the availability of tickets within the scheme, to review a member's eligibility and to revoke that membership following review.

Parking

There are reserved parking spaces for blue badge holders in the Westfield basement car park for which normal parking charges apply. There is a lift directly from the basement car park to all levels of the theatre.

Getting Around

There is level access to the box office and café from Theatre Walk. The foyer, theatre, bar and studio can be accessed via the lift.

Auditoria

There are a limited number of wheelchair spaces available in each venue, please notify the box office when booking. Our staff can bring refreshments to you in the interval – please ask a member of our front of house staff for this service.

Toilet Facilities

There are accessible toilets on the ground and first floors.

Hearing Impaired

Sound enhancement systems are available in the theatre and studio. The best quality of sound is through our infrared headsets which are available to borrow free from the box office. If you prefer to use the T switch on your hearing aid, please borrow an induction loop aerial, which is worn around the neck to enable this to work - these are also available from the box office.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas of the building. Please talk to the box office about any special requirements when booking.

Large Print

If you would like our brochure in large print, braille or on audio tape, please enquire at the box office.

Audio Described

Ideal for blind and partially sighted people, audio description is a form of audio-visual translation using the natural pauses in dialogue or between critical sound elements to insert a narrative that translates the visual image into a sense form.

Visit www.sceneandsound.co.uk where you will find access performance listings for other venues.

BSL Interpreted Performances

British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreted. We provide BSL Interpreted performances for our in-house produced shows. Please let box office know where you would like to sit: directly in front of the interpreter or on the opposite side, looking across the stage/action.

Our sign interpreters are co-ordinated by Sarah Gatford and TheatreTerp.
