Creative Producer

Derby Theatre seeks a Creative Producer to develop and lead on our two year funded In Good Company artist development programme.  This post is offered on a freelance capacity in the first instance until July 2015.

Fee: £25,000

In Good Company is a professional development scheme for emerging artists in the East Midlands providing mentorship, business support, facilities and high profile performance opportunities. In Good Company will bridge the gap that exists from artists at the very beginning of their careers to them trying to establish links with organisations who will contract them and programme their work.  This project is led by Derby Theatre in partnership with Create Mansfield and Embrace Arts Leicester.

You will have a base at Derby Theatre but be asked to travel regularly between the three partner theatres and can also work from home when appropriate. You will need an understanding of how to support new artists, to have strong industry connections and good programming skills.  We are looking for someone who is an excellent team player and also able to take a creative lead.  You will work closely with Derby Theatre’s Artistic Director Sarah Brigham and our Head of Learning Caroline Barth.
