On 2nd May, multi award-winning company The Paper Birds present their critically acclaimed, sell-out show Thirsty. Based on our nation's love affair with alcohol, Thirsty weaves together real stories, memories and booze-based confessions, collected from a 'drunken hotline' and an online questionnaire. A dynamic theatrical exploration delving beyond statistics, facts and figures Thirsty looks to the faces and the voices of everyone who likes a drink and asks why, as a nation, are we so thirsty?

**** "embraces the play's enormous heart without flinching from its vulgarity" - The Guardian
A Taste of Honey, our co-production with Hull Truck Theatre, is receiving great reviews, and it coming to Derby from the 29th April! One of the most influential plays of its generation, A Taste of Honey was written when Shelagh Delaney was only 18. It burst onto the stage in 1961 in a production that took the West End by storm. Part of the post-war kitchen sink movement, the play later became a classic of British cinema.
