Cast and creative team announced for Derby Theatre’s production of Alice in Wonderland this summer

Derby Theatre is thrilled to announce the cast and creative team for their big family production of Alice in Wonderland this summer, a new version by Nicola Werenowska, on from Saturday 22 June until Saturday 6 July.

Alice in Wonderland, the Theatre’s 7th BSL integrated and Captioned family show, follows on from previous smash-hit family productions made in Derby where audiences of all ages can expect a wonderful and whacky theatrical adventure on a ridiculous and riotous adventure through Wonderland. All performances of the show will be BSL integrated and captioned, making it fully accessible to Deaf and hearing audience members.

A diverse cast of ten actors from the play 'Alice in Wonderland', presented in a lockup of headshots with neutral backgrounds. The actors display a variety of expressions and hairstyles, showcasing a range of characters likely to be encountered in the theatrical adaptation of the classic story.

As Alice lands in a unique underground world, she encounters an abundance of absurd, mysterious and magical characters and comes face to face with the heartless and tyrannical Queen. Alice’s arrival from beyond unnerves the Queen, but when the adventure becomes too much, will our lonely heroine return home…or will she stay and stand up to the madcap majesty?

Alice in Wonderland, bursting with brilliant original music, will capture the imagination and curiosity of children and adults alike, a production perfect for all ages that will stimulate and excite the senses at every twist and turn.
