In Good Company & Artist Development
In Good Company is the flagship professional creative and business development programme for theatre makers and companies in the Midlands. IGC exists to develop artists, provide opportunities and support exciting new performance. Born out of consultation with our community of artists, IGC is now a multi-venue partnership. Find out how you can get involved.
Thank you for your interest in bringing your show to Derby Theatre. As you can imagine, we get lots of requests from companies who would like to bring their work to our Main Auditorium and Studio spaces, so it is a hugely competitive process. This page will offer you guidance on how we like to receive information and how we will let you know if we are able to programme your show.
Hire Our Theatres
Derby Theatre has two great theatre spaces under one roof. Our main auditorium with seating for around 530 is a generous space which retains an intimate feel, whilst downstairs, our flexible studio theatre can be presented in a variety of different ways from cabaret-style to raked seating for up to 110.
Derby Theatre has three associate companies, Maison Foo, Not Too Tame and Milk Presents, whom it works with closely to offer support. All companies benefit from commissioning money, rehearsal space in-kind, the chance to attend artistic programme meetings and feed into the running of the Theatre.
