JOB DESCRIPTION

Job title: CATERING ASSISTANT

Responsible to: CATERING MANAGER/OPERATIONS AND ACCESS MANAGER 

Responsible for: NONE

Key Relationships: CATERING MANAGER, FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER, OPERATION AND ACCESS MANAGER, DUTY MANAGERS, CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANTS, BOX OFFICE TEAM, PUBLIC

PURPOSE OF POST 

The Catering Assistants will be working in the Café and Bar within the Theatre. The Café can be open up to 7 days a week, depending on performances, and will include service for the incoming theatre audiences as well as the general public. 

The post holder will be responsible for providing a consistently high level of customer service and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and presentation at all times.

MAIN TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Salary: £9.50 per hour

Hours: Casual contract. Various hours including daytime, evenings and weekends. 

Probation: This post is subject to a three-month probationary period

Benefits: Standard Derby Theatre benefits
