Upstairs Foyer, 6pm-8pm

"To me, clothing is a form of self-expression - there are hints about who you are in what you wear" - Marc Jacobs

Do you want a new look? Are you a bit skint and still want a new look? Do you love a party? Do you love a game? If so, join Karen Queen of Swaps for a night full of fun and fizz at her Clothes Swap Theatre Party at Derby Theatre this July. Bring any old clothes you don’t want or that don’t fit anymore (sob) and swap them with the rest of the party to leave with a new look!

Karen is hosting a clothes swap party with a theatrical twist. Join her to play games for points, watch pop up plays, swap old clothes and have an interactive theatre experience like no other.

Inspired by the brilliant, unique location of Derby Theatre inside the shopping centre, five critically acclaimed playwrights: Tim Price (Olivier Award nominee 2014), Evan Placey (winner of the Writer’s Guild Award 2015), Alison Carr (Winner of the Live Theatre/Empty Space Bursary Award 2015), Ben Ellis (winner of Langham Award), and Gabriel Bisset-Smith (BAFTA nominee 2016) ask, what do our wardrobe choices say about us?
