Second Person Narrative by Jemma Kennedy

'Off you go then and best of luck. It’s bound to be different this time though some of it might seem familiar. The big questions, we mean the beginnings, middles, endings, etcetera. Still, not to worry, it's all a work-in-progress.’

You're born a girl. You grow up. You grow old. You die. But along the way can you really forge your own identity? Can you actually choose your own destiny? And would you do anything differently if you could do it all over again?

Skellig by David Almond

Michael is facing change, and when that change coincides with his baby sister’s illness he becomes uncertain of the world around him. Whilst exploring his new home, he discovers something magical in the old rundown garage; a mysterious creature called Skellig who needs his help. With his new friend Mina, he helps Skellig gain his strength, and Michael’s world begins to change forever.
