Thursday 14 June - Alan Bates Room at Derby Theatre
10.30am – 1pm:
Don’t forget to look after yourself: Wellbeing for freelancers
When you work in an area you are passionate about and are a freelancer, it’s easy to tip the work/life balance in favour of work and lose energy, sleep, self-esteem and confidence. In this workshop, Louise will explore what’s important to put in place and prioritise when you are a freelancer. How do you make sure you take as much care of your wellbeing as you do of others you work with?
2pm – 5pm:
Push it but don’t lose control: Managing risk for creatives
How do you make financial and creative decisions that manage risk well? This workshop uses real life creative scenarios to explore how to take calculated risks and understand where you need to draw the line. It covers subjects such as how and when to say no, understanding where the risk lies in collaborations and how to respond to opportunities.
This workshop is presented by The Big House. Big House is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is aimed at developing your company as a business. We help you develop new audiences, identify funding opportunities, boost your profile with venues and develop your company into a sustainable business.
