Join us on Saturday 16 March for a fun, FREE day full of workshops and activities. The day will be BSL Interpreted and features performances from our new Deaf Friendly Youth Theatre.
Workshops and activities throughout the day include a Drama workshop led by Paula Garfield, the Artistic Director of Deafinitely Theatre, a dance session inspired by The Jungle Book, a stage combat workshop, clay workshops with Artcore, The Jungle Book themed activities and much more. Bring the whole family and come along to enjoy a day at Derby Theatre.
Booking for the scheduled workshops will open at 9:30am on the day at the Box Office. Limited availability - 8 places only per workshop. First come, first served.

Come enjoy exploring the wild magical world of the jungle, inspired by The Jungle Book, through creative movement with Adèle.
Adèle is passionate and enthusiastic about movement and dance and thinks everyone should give it a go. Adèle is a freelance creative dance practitioner, artist and newly qualified registered dance movement psychotherapist with experience working with children and people of all ages and abilities within charities and the community. Let Adèle guide you into the world of the jungle, as we playfully explore bringing the animals and creatures to life through our imagination.
Stage Combat: Selling a Fight: 12:00pm
Duration: 1 hour
For ages 11-18
Stage combat is acting, but with fists and weapons. Just like any good story our fights must take our audiences on a journey. In this unarmed workshop we will aim to sell the pain, anger and danger, whilst remaining safe. Having lots of fun in the process.
