We like to call ourselves a ‘learning theatre’. We’re known for training students at the University of Derby, developing artists and empowering our communities and we want to take everyone on a journey of discovery.

We won the Excellence in Arts Education Award at the UK Theatre Awards in 2019 for our work with learners of all ages. 

Whether you want to become a theatre maker or just get involved in our work, every single member of our team is trained to share their skills with anyone who wants to learn. We welcome schools, artists, children, young people, and all our visitors to get to know our theatre inside out.

We’re known for creating powerful, critically acclaimed theatre. But we also make sure we’re working directly with our community every step of the way. So come along and get inspired.
