Futures Unlocked - Digital Programme for Ages 15-25
Would you like to work in the arts but aren’t sure what skills you might need or how to get there?
Sometimes, it might feel like (or you might be told) that a job in the arts is too hard to get into, or that you need to be from a particular kind of background to get there. That’s probably because the arts don’t truly represent our society today. But you can get there!
Say hello to Futures Unlocked - a digital programme for ages 15-25 that will help you explore your career potential.
Instagram Live Interviews
Every fortnight, Futures Unlocked invited you to meet a different artist on Instagram Live, in an interview led by a young person.
Gain a unique and personal insight into the work of each artist, including a theatre director, actor, an award-winning writer, a theatre-maker and a music producer/composer.

Instagram Live Interviews
Each Instagram interview will be made accessible through British Sign language (BSL) and Captioning as soon after each recording as possible, and these will be available to view and access from this page and Derby Theatre's YouTube channel.
Zoom Workshops
The Zoom workshops with each artist can also be made BSL accessible on request.
PLEASE NOTE: a limited number of places will be held for each Zoom workshop for anyone requiring BSL interpretation, and these can be requested in advance of booking opening.
For anyone wishing to book a place which requires BSL interpretation, please email learning@derbytheatre.co.uk
We ask for anyone requiring BSL interpretation to book on and inform us by 5pm on the Wednesday before each Zoom workshop.
Remember...
If you can’t see yourself reflected in this industry, it may feel like it’s not for you. This remains one of the most urgent issues facing the sector today, particularly for people of colour, people with disabilities or from lower socio-economic backgrounds who are still massively underrepresented.
Derby Theatre wants to make a difference and help change this, so that we can unlock creative futures for everyone.
