About Reimagine 2020
Derby Theatre and cultural organisations Baby People, Déda, Artcore, and Wrongsemble called out to young people and families to reimagine a future post-Covid-19 and get involved in a new digital creative project during lockdown.
There were 3 ways to get involved to make a creative response to this question: how would you reimagine the world differently when lockdown ends?
The project has now ended, but there will be more opportunities to get involved soon!
1) Digital Project
As part of a 5-week Digital Project, young people across Derby applied to work in one of six teams out of filmmaking, theatre, dance, music, writing or graffiti art alongside top professional Midlands artists.
Over the 5 weeks, they met on Zoom to learn new skills before producing creative responses in their art form to explore the positive changes from Covid-19 lockdown and how it has enabled people to see and understand the world differently.
If you would like to find out more about the Reimagine project and the Future Creatives programme, please contact Derby’s Cultural Education Producer Alix Manning-Jones: a.maning-jones@derby.ac.uk.

Watch the final responses from each group that were created as part of the project and shared at a socially distanced event at Derby Central Library at the end of the five weeks, on Monday 20 July.
