What happens when we put two budding artist collectives together and ask them to take over a venue in a city they are not familiar with? Well we don’t know but we are excited to find out! Lincoln based, Spud Collective and Leicester based collective Tetrad will be taking over the Attenborough Arts Centre, and the Lincoln Drill Hall to fill the venue with artists from either region. See here for the Lincoln Takeover on Sunday 22 April.
Friday 20th April - Attenborough Arts Centre, Leicester
The Spud Collective presents an entire day of events for Lincolnshire and Leicestershire artists to come together and get creative. With workshops from Zest Theatre, performances from Flickbook Theatre and plenty of time for a drink and a chat this is a chance for artists and arts lovers to celebrate innovative work across the East Midlands.
Reserve your day ticket in advance then Pay What You Think on the day.
Micro Chips, 2pm

Chip in Toby Ealden: Interactive work with young audiences, 3pm
Toby Ealden shares Zest Theatre's approach to creating interactive theatre that puts young audiences at the centre of the action. Zest Theatre make both national touring work What Once was Ours, Thrive, Gatecrash and bring Lost Village Festival to life every year.
Mash Up with free Pizza!, 5:30pm
The MashUp is an informal, social event for local creative professionals. With the bar very much open, it’s a great way to catch-up with colleagues and make new connections. In this very special Leicester-Lincoln Mash Up we’ll be inviting artists from both cities to meet, have a drink and share stories, practices and advice.
Casket Case - 7:30pm
After the Mash Up join us for Lincoln’s own Flickbook Theatre as they perform Casket Case.
Lightning. Heights. Raw Meat. Bears. Knives. Spiders ... and death, obviously ..
Casket Case is a show about our fear of death, dying and being dead. It's about Jozey, who doesn't really do anything that could possibly, even slightly, increase her risk of dying. Not even putting salt on her chips. Madness! Her anxieties are spiraling out of control and her friends are faced with just two options - kill, or cue.
Casket Case is part story, part cabaret, part totally morbid curiosity. After all, none of us are getting out of here alive...
