Call Out: 'This is Derby' performance opportunity for young people aged 14-18 from Derby city

This is Derby: Performance Project ‘This is Me’

Interested in performing?

Want an opportunity to tell your story as a young person living in Derby?

This is Derby is a programme working with young people across the city and we are looking for up to 15 young people aged 14-18 from Derby city to work with Derby Theatre & Curious Monkey Theatre Company on an exciting and unique opportunity.

This is your chance to produce a short professional ensemble performance (10 minutes), bringing your voices to life through an exciting and highly visual display performed at the large celebration event for This Is Derby on Saturday 13 July 2019 in Derby’s Market Place

You will join us for two intensive days (Thursday 30 and Friday 31 May) of writing and devising workshops, working with Amy Golding (Artistic Director of Curious Monkey) and a script writer to explore the broader themes of growing up/place/identity as a young person in the city.

This will be followed by an intensive week of rehearsals with a team of professional actors to create the performance leading up to the celebration.
