Cast announced for Derby Theatre’s festive production of Little Red Riding Hood for ages 3+ and their families
Grandma... what big eyes you have!
Following the hugely popular Goldilocks and the Three Bears and The Gingerbread Man, Derby Theatre and Hiccup Theatre are thrilled to announce the casting for Little Red Riding Hood at Derby Theatre from Wednesday 4 December to Saturday 4 January.
It’s Christmas Eve and Grandma is not feeling too well…luckily, Little Red has a basket of supplies to save the day. Just keep to the path, don’t stop to pick the flowers, don’t talk to strangers and don’t mention Grandma’s whiskers!
Hiccup Theatre bring you a brand new version of the classic story that is all the better to entertain you with!
Hilarious and heartwarming, magical and musical… Little Red Riding Hood, featuring beautiful puppetry, fantastic storytelling, a girl with attitude, a wolf with an appetite and amazing live music and original songs, is the perfect festive treat for young theatregoers and their families (and don’t forget grandma!).
L-R: Tilly-Mae Millbrook, Ivan Stott and Bethan Morgan
In the title role of Little Red Riding Hood, Tilly-Mae Millbrook returns to Derby Theatre following her appearance in last year’s main house production, Hansel and Gretel. Tilly-Mae has just completed Pitlochry Festival Theatre’s Rep Season, appearing in productions including Summer Holiday, The Crucible and Blithe Spirit.
Ivan Stott (Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Gingerbread Man and Pinocchio for Hiccup Theatre; One Man Two Guvnors and Look Back In Anger for Derby Theatre) returns to the Derby Theatre Studio as the Wolf. Completing the cast is Bethan Morgan as Grandma, in her first role at Derby Theatre. Bethan’s recent credits include Alice in a Plastic Wonderland for Omidaze and 35 Times for Mercury Theatre Wales.
Little Red Riding Hood is brought to you by the team behind Goldilocks and the Three Bears and The Gingerbread Man, with direction by Sarah Brigham, set design by Sam Wilde, costume design by Tim Heywood, puppets designed by John Barber and music composed by Ivan Stott and the cast.
BSL performances will be on Wednesday 11 December at 1.30pm and Saturday 14 December at 1.30pm.
Relaxed performance will be on Thursday 2 January at 1.30pm.
