Casting call out for East Midlands based actors to perform in The Little Mermaid this Christmas

Applications Now Closed

This Christmas, Derby Theatre will be producing The Little Mermaid by Mike Kenny on the main stage at the theatre to a socially distanced audience.

We are looking to cast two teams, consisting of two professional actors each. Each team will form a 'bubble' and perform in a scheduled number of performances per week.

Actors will still receive a full weekly salary and asked to be on stand-by to perform as their ‘bubble’ in additional performances if necessary.

Auditions will take place via Zoom on Friday 23 October 2020.

Deadline to apply is Sunday 18 October, 12pm.

Criteria

Due to Covid restrictions, we are only looking for professional East Midlands based actors who are aged 18+ and live within 25 miles of the venue.

Two storytellers will re-tell this classic tale and become all of the characters, so we are looking for excellent physical performers who can multi-role.

The actors can be any playing age, ethnicity or accent, but must be engaging storytellers who enjoy working in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
