Statement in response to the lifting of lockdown restrictions from 19 July - some measures will remain in place at Derby Theatre

Update as at Thursday 2 December

Following the lifting of remaining lockdown restrictions, the safety and confidence of our audiences returning for a safe and enjoyable visit remains a priority and of paramount importance.

Therefore, some safety measures still remain in place, including:

Update on Face Coverings

Following the latest government announcement, the wearing of face coverings is mandatory within shopping centres, including Derbion. To access Derby Theatre, via any route, this involves passing through a part of Derbion, so please be prepared for your visit and bring a mask with you when visiting the Theatre.

The Theatre's advice regarding the wearing of face coverings while in the Theatre itself remains as 'strongly advised'.

Remaining Safety Measures

  • Hand sanitiser stations

  • Wearing of face coverings strongly encouraged, especially while moving around inside the venue

  • Flexible ticketing policy which offers credit to any customers who are unable to attend due to any Covid-related matters or circumstances.

  • Enhanced cleaning – with a particular focus on touch points.

  • Ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social / physical distancing in the Café/Bar.
