In 1945, Ildiko's grandmother, Lucia, expelled from her home, walked 220 miles through the fractured landscape of Europe. In 2015, Zoo Indigo retraced her footsteps, crossing borders, bleeding, crying, carrying their flat-pack children.
No Woman's Land is a darkly humorous stagger through past and present landscapes, exploring the post-apocalypse of 1945, migration, home and displacement. Stepping out of the 1920's German Kabarett, the performers walk on treadmills immersed in a digital environment as they explore their own and Lucia's journey.
