Aaargh! Business plans? Forecasts? Leadership? These can often feel like daunting parts of creative career especially as a freelancer who doesn’t often have access to the training available within larger organisations. But Fear not, we have just the answer for you.
Join us for a two day ‘Business Confidence weekend’ in the beautiful spa town of Buxton, where we will host a series of workshops designed to increase your knowledge and boost your confidence in the business of theatre. Aimed at mid-career artists, those of you who have been around long enough to know a bit about these things, but want to take it a step further.
Day 1 – Strategic Planning and Company Development

Independent arts producer and co-founder of producing organisation Fuel, Louise Blackwell, invites you to spend a day thinking, talking and taking steps towards realising your ambitions. A practical workshop focussed how to grow your ideas once you’ve been working in the arts for a while.
Day 2 - Leadership & management skills and Facilitation led by Linda horsburgh
'I am a freelance creative facilitator specialising in communication, confidence and teamwork. Though originally hailing from the Midlands, I work predominantly in Yorkshire and Lancashire delivering bespoke workshops to a wide range of individuals. My passions are about bringing groups together to share and learn from one another’s experiences in a fun and creative learning environment
