In Good Company are trialling our first ever Writers Drop-In with literary dramaturg Raphael Martin from The Lit Shop, who has over fifteen years of experience in theatrical literary management, dramaturgy, and development.
Got a knotty piece of dialogue? Need help with that particular scene that’s causing you trouble? Then this is the thing for you.
The sessions are one hour long, and are for writers who are currently writing new work, and have a specific issue they would like advice on whether that be a specific scene or piece of dialogue. Writers should bring extracts of work for stage, radio or screen.
There are only three sessions available, so it is extremely limited availability for this writers session. They are free but with this is mind, please only book a slot if you are 100% sure you able to come to the session. Booking is on a first come, first served basis on this occasion. Please note, It would be not be possible for Raphael to read the full-script.
He was the Director of New Work at off-Broaday’s Soho Rep; the Literary Manager at Broadway’s Manhattan Theatre Club, and he has made work with Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Play On! Shakespeare program as part of a collaboration with Guildhall School of Drama. In London he worked in literary capacities at The Royal Shakespeare Company, The Royal Court Theatre’s Young Writers Programme, The National Theatre, The Gate Theatre, The Bush Theatre, Sonia Friedman Productions, and The Ambassador Theatre Group.
