How Can We Build And Support Tangible Opportunities For Graduates And Early Career Performance Designers?

Regional Stages is a one-day event bringing together professional associations representing designers, venue partners, practitioners, students and design educators to discuss how regional theatres and other regional organisations can promote and sustain performance design careers within the Midlands and beyond.

Join us for a day of introductions, round table discussions and the presentation of a site-specific collaboration between students from Derby and Nottingham Trent Universities and Derby Theatre Youth Theatre.

Panels include speakers from the University of Derby, Derby Theatre’s Learning Theatre, The Society of British Theatre Designers, NTU, In Good Company (Derby Theatre’s flagship professional creative and business development programme for theatre makers and companies in the Midlands) and regionally based designers.

Lunch is included in your ticket.

This one-day event is hosted by the University of Derby and Derby Theatre in partnership with The Society of British Theatre Designers as part of their Regional Hearts programme.

The venue is wheelchair accessible and a signer will be provided on request.

SBTD will be providing some travel bursaries to enable early career freelance designers to attend. Priority will be given to Graduate SBTD Members and designers based in the region.
