#ThisIsDerby (Research)
#ThisIsDerby is a unique collaboration of sport, arts and cultural activity supporting the development of essential life skills of young people.
Organisations across the city have come together to form the #ThisIsDerby partnership, which includes: Artcore, Baby People, Déda, Derby County Community Trust, Derby Museums, Derby Theatre, East Midlands Caribbean Carnival and Arts Network, Sinfonia Viva and QUAD.
#ThisIsDerby is an example of the University’s innovative research, teaching and widening participation partnerships.
Research & Evaluation
The evaluation on #ThisIsDerby informs our research on social mobility, and the partnership is resulting in co-publication between academics and artistic practitioners. The data is also informing the DfE’s assessment of the contribution of such programmes to develop cultural capital in young people; part of the OFSTED framework.
